Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has ruled out his skipper out of the Leicester City clash at the weekend. The Reds host league leadersLeicester Cityin a Matchweek 9 game at Anfield on Sunday and club captain Jordan Henderson will miss the game due to the back injury sustained on England duty.

Henderson picked up the injury during the Nations League meeting with Belgium.He played just 45 minutes of the game which ended in a 2-0 defeat at the hands of the Three Lions.YouriTielemans and Dries Mertens were on the scoresheet for the Red Devils of Belgium.

Jordan Henderson was ruled out of the league meeting with the Foxes by his manager during his pre-match press conference earlier on Friday. Klopp didn’t give a time for his return. In addition to Jordan Henderson, Liverpool will also miss the services of first choice right-back Trent Alexander-Arnold for the Leicester City game as confirmed by the Liverpool boss.

Trent Alexander-Arnold is yet to recover from the calf injury that he picked up during the final league game before the November international break. He sustained the said injury in the second half of the Premier League trip to the Etihad Stadium. Trent Alexander-Arnold was subbed off for veteran player James Milner during the second half of that Manchester City game.

The injury forced him to miss the three England games during the international break. He was absent from national team duty as the Three Lions beat the Republic of Ireland and Iceland heavily in an international friendly and in the UEFA Nations League respectively. The loss to Belgium was sandwiched in between those two games.

While the England duo of Trent Alexander-Arnold and Jordan Henderson are out of the Liverpool vs. Leicester City game, the trio of Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, Fabinhoand new signing Thiago Alcantara can feature according Klopp. The three players are recovering well, and they could play against the Foxes on Sunday night.
