Former Liverpool striker Daniel Sturridge has revealed that he would have loved to continue his career at Liverpool and that part of his regrets at the Anfield club was the fact that he was not around to be a part of the squad that lifted the Premier League title under J├╝rgen Klopp. Sturridge had a stint with the Merseyside club for a few years before eventually parting ways with the Anfield giants and even though he has fond memories about his time there, he still feels he could have achieved more if he had spent a little more time before his departure.

The former England international striker was a lethal frontman for Chelsea and was recognized as one of the best strikers in the Premier League in his prime but he started lacking game time at Stamford Bridge and eventually had to find his way out of the club.

Liverpool were the only aide he said he could leave Chelsea for and after the Reds made a bid for him, he could not resist the offer and joined them on a three-year contract. He had a mixed career at Liverpool and even though he scored a couple of goals at the Kop, he could not fulfill his desire of lifting the league title before leaving.

Speaking in a recent interview, Sturridge said he had an enjoyable spell at Liverpool and loved the way everyone at the club used to keep the hope of winning the title alive both on the pitch and in the dressing room.

After a few years at Liverpool, he then decided that the time was right for him to move on. But in his recent revelation, he admitted that he could have been more patient and that if he had continued, he would have been a part of the team that tasted English Premier League success.
